Music education at an early age provides every child a wellspring of life-enhancing benefits. Students in grades K-8 engage in a variety of activities that demonstrate an understanding of music, how music is created and performed and what the role of music is in civilization. In addition, students learn theory and fundamentals, how to read sheet music, and how to play an instrument.
Kindergarten through fourth grade students attends music class every week. Grades four through eight attend one semester of music instruction.
